EMDR beyond PTSD – An Integrative Transdiagnostic Psychotherapy

To be held 3 – 5 May 2024 at the Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast Qld

While it’s accepted that EMDR therapy is currently a “gold standard” treatment for PTSD, complex-PTSD and Trauma.  EMDR has been proven to be an effective treatment for more than just single event traumas. EMDR is also highly effective when integrated with a number of different therapies, with the AIP model supporting a transdiagnostic approach for many presentations.

The conference is designed to showcase the variety of uses for EMDR.  It is intended to capture applications across a client’s life span.  It will welcome speakers from other approaches and areas (including technological integrations and adaptations).  It aims to have speakers on polyvagal, memory reconsolidation, and specialists in other areas (i.e. neurodiversity, OCD, child populations, intensives) who integrate other theory and therapeutic approaches to make EMDR more efficient and effective, in an integrative and transdiagnostic way.  We intend that these are augmented by case presentations, including real-life examples of complex cases as well as cases where EMDR has been used in an integrative manner.  These can include: traumas of omission, dissociation, depression, anxiety, OCD, addictions, etc., as well as some physical conditions, such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, long COVID, etc.

Join us to build upon and enhance our collective knowledge of how EMDR, based on the AIP model, can be utilised as a transdiagnostic, integrative psychotherapy for a broad range of presentations, across the lifespan, and beyond single event traumas and complex PTSD.
