Enable/disable member to assign accreditation level
To allow a member to assign another member’s accreditation level
- Make sure you are an administrator of the site
- Go to My Account → Edit My Details
- Select user who needs ability to assign levels
- Set ‘Assign Accreditation Levels’ to ‘Y’ (or ‘N’ if disabling)
- Press ‘Update’
Assign accreditation levels of a member
- Go to My Account → Assign Accreditation Levels
- Select user
- Assign appropriate level
- Press ‘Update’
Need assistance with images:
Converting an image
Computers save images as many different types (called formats).
We only accept images with the formats: .png, .jpg and .gif.
If your image is not the right format, please follow these steps
to get a version of your image that is the correct format:
- Go to http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/online-image-converter
- Click the select image button and upload an image.
- Make sure the ‘Select new format’ option is set to PNG, JPG or GIF.
- Click the Convert Image button.
- Wait for the image to upload then convert.
- Download the image by clicking the underlined Download link.
Compressing an Image
Sometimes image files have too much data stored in them making them take up
more space than they really need. You can compress an image by getting
rid of this unnecessary data using these simple steps:
- Go to http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/online-image-converter
- Upload the image you want to compress pressing the “Select image” button.
- Set the ‘Select new format:’ option to JPG.
- Press the Convert Image button and wait for the image to upload.
- Download your new compressed image by pressing the Download link.
If your image is still too large, try resizing the image using these steps:
- Go to http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/
- Make sure the options:
– ‘Define the new size of your image using:’ is set to percentage (%).
– The slider bar is in the middle so it says ‘make image 50% smaller’. - Upload the image by pressing the “Select image” button.
- Press the “Resize” button and wait for the image to resize.
- Download your new smaller image by pressing the Download link.
Uploading an image into Find-A-Therapist
From a Computer
- Go to Member Area -> My Account -> Update Find-a-Therapist Details.
- Click on the Browse… button (this will open a window for you to find the image).
- In the window that just opened, find the folder where your image is saved.
- Open the folder by double clicking on it or left clicking once and pressing
– The open button down the bottom right of the window.
– If you don’t know where to look, try the pictures folder on the left. - Look for the image file then double click or left click once and press open.
- Press the submit button.
- Wait for the image to upload (will take a few seconds).
From a Phone
- Go to Member Area -> My Account -> Update Find-a-Therapist Details.
- Press the Browse… button.
- Select Gallery or Files if you have already taken a picture, camera if you want to take a picture right now.
- Select the image file (if you selected gallery or files) OR take the picture (if you selected camera).
- Press the submit button.
Updating your contact email address
You may need to change the email address EMDRAA will contact you with or for you to log into the site. This can be done by:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Edit My Details.
- Update your email in the field called ‘Email’.
- Press the Update button.
- You will be informed if the email address is invalid or is already being used by someone else. If there is a problem with the new email address, the old email address will not be replaced.
Update your billing contact details
There may be times when you need to update your billing address information. To update your billing information you can do this:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Edit My Details.
- Update your address details in the appropriate fields.
- If you are participating in Find-A-Therapist, you have the option of adding the new address details by ticking the ‘Display this address in Find-A-Therapist?’ box. Please note that the address details here are separate from Find-A-Therapist details so if you wish to use the new address in Find-A-Therapist, you need to tick this box.
- Press the Update button.
- You will be informed if there are any issues with the new address.
Update your password
You may wish to update your password before you log off the site. To do this you can:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Edit My Details.
- Enter you new password in the ‘New password’ section.
- Tick the ‘Reset password’ box.
- Press the Update button.
I want to appear on Find-A-Therapist
To be on Find-A-Therapist you need to be a Full member and you need to say that you want to be on Find-A-Therapist. To indicate that you would like to be on Find-A-Therapist, do the following:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Update Find-A-Therapist Details.
- Make sure the option ‘Display in Fath’ is set to ‘Y’.
- Press the save button
Update your Find-A-Therapist details
Once you become a full member of EMDRAA you are given the option to have your details as part of Find-A-Therapist. Details that can appear in Find-A-Therapist include your name, office location, email and phone contacts, website URL, a portrait image and your areas of interest. To update these details please do the following:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Update Find-A-Therapist Details.
- Update your details in the appropriate fields.
- Press the Save button.
- Please note that any details updated here will not be reflected in your billing address. If you need to update your billing address details (how the EMDRAA will contact you) go here.
Add/update your credit card details
If you wish to purchase a new item from the EMDRAA site, or renew your membership, and your credit card details have changed since your last payment, you can update your payment methods this way:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Payment methods.
- Update your payment methods.
- Any future purchases/membership renewals can now reference the new payment details you have added/updated.
Renew my membership before or on renewal date
To renew your EMDRAA membership on or prior to the renewal date please follow these steps:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Membership Details.
- Press the Renew Now button
- Make payment.
- Once payment is processed, your membership will be renewed for a further year based on your renewal date. That is, if your renewal date was January 20 and you paid your renewal on January 14, your next renewal date will be January 20 the following year, not January 14.
- Please note that you can only renew your membership no earlier than 40 days prior to your renewal date.
Upgrade membership
To upgrade membership from Associated member to Full member, please follow these steps:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> Upgrade From Associate To Full Member or
Select the Member Area -> My Account -> Upgrade From Associate To Full Member. - Fill in appropriate form details.
- Make payment. Please note that the amount due will be based on how many days you have left on your Associate membership.
- Once payment is processed, your membership will be upgraded.
Renew my membership after the assigned renewal date
You can still access the EMDRAA site after your membership renewal date, even if you did not pay the renewal, but only for a period of 3 months after your membership renewal date. If your renewal payment is not received before that 3 month period, to have access to the EMDRAA site you will need to join again as a new member. To renew your EMDRAA membership after your assigned renewal date please follow these steps:
- Log into the EMDRAA site.
- Select the Member Area -> My Account menu item.
- Select the menu option Membership Details – Expired Membership.
- Scroll down to the Related Orders section and press the Pay button for the pending payment of your membership.
- Make payment.
- Once payment is processed, your membership will be renewed for a further year based on your renewal date. That is, if your renewal date was January 20 and you paid your renewal on January 26, your next renewal date will be January 20 the following year, not January 26.
Upgrade membership after renewal date
You cannot upgrade your membership from Associated to Full membership after your current membership renewal date has past. If you do wish to upgrade, please pay the outstanding amount for the Associate membership. Once this is done, the option to upgrade your membership will be available.
