The EMDRAA™ Professional Development Day returns on Saturday 5 September 2026 with the theme EMDR Across the Lifespan, exploring the application of EMDR therapy at different stages of life and across diverse client populations.
From infancy and childhood through to older adulthood, individuals encounter experiences that shape their wellbeing, relationships, identity and resilience. This year’s program will showcase contemporary EMDR research, clinical practice, innovations and emerging perspectives relevant to different life stages, developmental transitions and age-specific challenges.

Registration includes live attendance and 12 months’ access to event recordings through the Humanitix Virtual Event Hub, allowing you to revisit sessions or catch up on content at a time that suits you.
Please note
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
- Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
- Registrations are issued to an individual registrant and are non-transferable.
- Registration fees are non-refundable once payment has been received. All registrations include access to the live event and event recordings for 12 months following the event.
- EMDRAA reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the program, presenters, session topics or event format where necessary.
- Event recordings are intended to remain available for 12 months following the event.

Call for Abstracts
The EMDRAA™ Scientific Committee invites abstract submissions for the 2026 EMDRAA™ Professional Development Day: EMDR Across the Lifespan.
We welcome presentations that explore the application of EMDR therapy across different stages of life, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, older adults, families, caregivers, and key life transitions. Submissions may focus on clinical practice, research, innovation, case-based learning, or emerging areas of interest.
Presentations will be delivered live online and should demonstrate the practical application of EMDR therapy through at least one appropriately de-identified case study.

Program
The Professional Development Day is expected to run from approximately 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (AEST).
The program will feature a series of presentations delivered throughout the day. Sessions will generally be one-hour, comprising approximately:
- 30 minutes for presentation
- 15 minutes for questions and discussion
- 15 minutes for transition between sessions
Breaks will be scheduled throughout the day to allow participants time to rest and recharge.
The full program, including session times, presenter information and presentation topics, will be published once the Call for Abstracts process has been completed.
CPD & Certificates of Attendance
This Professional Development Day will provide continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
Registered participants will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Details regarding CPD hours and certificate arrangements will be confirmed when the program is released.
What to Expect
Online Delivery
- The Professional Development Day will be delivered live via Zoom Webinar.
Accessibility
- Closed captioning will be available throughout the event.
- Attendees will be able to advise of any accessibility requirements during registration.
Questions and Interaction
- Attendees will have opportunities to submit questions throughout the day using the Zoom Webinar Q&A function. Questions will be addressed during designated discussion periods where time permits.
Accessing the Event
- A personalised Zoom access link will be emailed to all registered attendees approximately two days before the event.
Recordings
- All sessions will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing after the event through the Humanitix Virtual Event Hub. Registered attendees will be notified by email when recordings are available.
Resources
- Presentation slides and any presenter-provided resources will be available through the Humanitix Virtual Event Hub where supplied.

- For the best experience, we recommend attending using a computer or laptop and a reliable internet connection.
