EMDR beyond PTSD – An Integrative Transdiagnostic Psychotherapy

Conference to be held 3 – 5 May 2024 at the Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast Qld

Call for Abstracts

The EMDRAA 2024 Speaker Working Group invites you to submit an abstract for a presentation, workshop, research paper, or skills demonstration for the conference to be held 3 – 5 May 2024. Presentations may be face to face (at the Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast Qld), live online or pre-recorded.

Based on this year’s theme, areas of particular interest are: application of EMDR outside single event traumas and PTSD, including dissociation and complex trauma, mental health conditions including addiction, OCD, depression, anxiety and phobias, chronic or complex pain conditions, and other clinical presentations that can be understood from the adaptive information processing model. Other areas of interest include presentations that focus on other important phases of EMDR as a complete transdiagnostic therapy, and the integration of EMDR with other therapeutic modalities and approaches. New research and advancements in the field are also areas of interest for submissions to the 2024 conference.

While we may not be able to use all submissions for the upcoming conference, we encourage you to submit your ideas, as these may be more suitable for subsequent years.
